“I love my job at NEW Water because I get to play a role in protecting the public health and the environment. Improving and maintaining water quality is essential to life, and I get to leave my fingerprint on the process."
The College-Career Connection
"My interest in improving the environment led me to pursue a degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. I started my education at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) with the intention of getting an associate's degree. During my time at NWTC, I received an opportunity to intern at NEW Water. I loved everything I was learning in my new position and wanted to gain more knowledge about wastewater. This pushed me to transfer to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to earn a double major in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science. My ultimate goal is to end up in a career involving wastewater."

Chad A. - Engineering Technician

Kim S. - Wastewater Treatment Operator
“When I think of the culture behind NEW Water one of the first words that comes to mind is team. I believe we all work together to help make this plant run as efficiently as possible. Whether it’s improving treatment at this plant, improving our services for our customers, or educating the public on the importance of clean water, our team consists of everyone in our community helping to sustain our watershed.”
Marty P. - Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Team Leader
“The E&I shop is a service to everyone at NEW Water, whether it’s people in the admin building or Field Services out in the field. I find it to be so challenging yet rewarding at the same time because we get to balance new projects and solve problems.”
