How Can You Help Protect Our Water?

World Water Day was March 22, and Earth Day is around the corner!  Looking for ways to love the earth, and to help protect our waterways?  Joining a Fox River cleanup and building a rain garden are two examples of what you can do.

Cost Savings, Public Tours, and a Nod

  • Sustainability in action. In 2014, NEW Water not only met its permit requirements for discharge of pollutants to the environment, but fared far better.  As a result, NEW Water was able to save customers $545,000 in the avoided NR101 fee paid to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
  • How is your water treated? Come and find out!  NEW Water offers tours to the public the last Friday of every month.  Reservation required.  Click here to find out how to sign up.
  • National recognition. The National Association of Clean Water Agencies has awarded NEW Water with the Public Information & Education Award for the World Water Day event held in 2014 in conjunction with the Green Bay Water Utility.
