Can the Wipes

It's a Toilet, Not a Trashcan!

pic3.pngWipes labeled “flushable” should go into the trash, not the toilet, as they can clog pipes.  Clogged pipes can lead to sewerage backups.  These wipes also get tangled in sewer pumps and equipment, leading to costly repairs for homeowners, and municipal sewer authorities.  “Flushable” wipes, along with baby wipes, mop refills, paper towels, towelettes, cleaning wipes also should be put into the trashcan.  Only toilet paper and human waste (the “3Ps”) should go down the toilet. Save yourself and your wastewater utility from a pain in the drain – flush only the 3Ps!
